Re: Ford Motor Company Strike

Memorandum
The UAW strike continues to impact Ford Kentucky Truck Plant and Ford Chicago plant.

As a result, DTS lines 708, U55X, U625 are impacted.

All DTS hourly employees affected would be solicited for a voluntary temporary layoff per Article 17 effective 10/12-10/27/2023. Layoffs will follow CBA language. Employees are required to return on 10/30/23 unless otherwise notified by HR via text or view DTS website. It’s a possibility you may be recalled from layoff sooner.

Those employees who choose to work in lieu of voluntary layoff will be reassigned.

You’ll be required to file for unemployment with the UIA- Michigan Unemployment Insurance Agency. Contact UIA (Marvin) at 1-866-500-0017 or visit their website www.michigan.gov/uia to access or create an account. DTS: EAN #- 2006507000 & FEIN #455629784

DTS will ensure to notify the UIA of the temporary layoff and request a work waiver as well. UIA will determine eligibility for approval of unemployment.

However, if you have vacation time available, you can submit your request for vacation time.

A text message will be sent to communicate updates on the strike, layoffs and when you’ll be able to return to work. You’ll be required to visit the DTS website detroitthermalsystems.com click on news for an update.

WFQ and Resource MFG staffing agencies will communicate with their temporary employees regarding mandatory involuntary layoffs and return to work status as well.

Please ensure your contact information is updated in ADP. If you’re unable to update your contact information in ADP. Please complete the personal data status change form and return it to HR.

Thank you,

Sherri Manuel
HR Manager
